The Leopard TOGT Pro Cycling team can look back to an amazing week of racing in the PostNord Tour of Denmark. After five days, Mathias Bregnhøj (8th) and Andreas Stokbro (12th) were to be found in the top of the final general classification.
Alsmost as per tradition, Mads Østergaard Kristensen kicked things off with a big breakaway effort during the opening stage from and to Aalborg. By claiming the KOM jersey at the end of the day, the first small success was already there for the team. Unfortunately, the 25-year-old lost the jersey one day later in the second stage that ended in a bunch sprint finish, with no Leopard TOGT riders involved.
Stage three around Vejle was going to be majorly important in the battle for the GC, and the race did not disappoint. Mathias Bregnhøj showed himself on the difficult local lap, but just fellt short. Together with Andreas Stokbro, both ended relatively close to the top spots and became truely involved in the battle for a top ten GC finish.
With only two stages left, things were looking good for Leopard TOGT Pro Cycling. On the penultimate day, not much happened, expect for Emil Mielke Vinjebo to colour the breakaway and come home with the most combative rider of the day award. Today, in stage five, the time trial bikes were prepared for a 16.1 kilometer long showdown in Helsingør and the Leopard TOGT riders did not disappoint. Bregnhøj in 12th, Stokbro in 18th and Heidemann in 20th, lead to the final classification stated below.

Mathias Bregnhøj: "I’m really happy to finish 8th at PostNord Tour of Denmark. The last two weeks have been a rollercoaster and I’m happy to show that I have the level to really compete with the pros. I’m really proud of my final time trial but also of the team’s performance throughout the week."
